3 cups of bulgur
4 medium red onions, peeled and chopped
1 big white onion, peeled and chopped
5 oz extra-virgin olive oil
3 cups of water
salt and pepper, to taste
How to Prepare:
In a skillet, heat the extra-virgin olive oil and fry the chopped onions for 15 minutes until clear and caramelized. Add some salt and pepper and mix well.
Soak the bulgur in the warm water for around 10 minutes. Then add in the bulgur to your pot.
Add in the water, salt and pepper to your pot and stir well.
Close the lid and cook on a HIGH pressure for 20 minutes.
Release the pressure naturally over 10 minutes.
Portion the bulgur into two bowls or mugs. Then dollop each bowl with the onions. Remember that this dish should be served warm. Serve the bulgur with the coffee.
